Target Hops

Target hops are a classic English variety that was bred at Wye College and released in 1972. Target is Challenger’s cousin, sharing the same parents of Northern Brewer and Eastwell Goldings. Target offers a high alpha acid content making it suitable for bittering, while its distinctive aroma profile of citrus, herbal, and spicy resinous notes doesn’t need to take a back seat. Its versatility has made it a staple in traditional English ales and lagers, and it is also commonly used as a bittering hop.
