Crystal Hops

Crystal is a triploid variety developed from the German aroma hop variety Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, with lineage contributions from Cascade, Brewer’s Gold, and Early Green. Released in 1993 from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) breeding program, Crystal has become popular in U.S. craft brewing as a triploid Hallertau type. It is a half-sister of Mt. Hood and Liberty, sharing their soft, elegant aroma character — making it an excellent choice for lagers, pilsners, and any style calling for a refined noble-style hop.
