Malic Acid 2 oz. Naturally occurring fruit acid used to acidify wine and mead. Adds a crisp, tart character and is the dominant acid in apples and many stone fruits.
Add to taste or to adjust pH. Typical usage is 1/2–1 tsp per gallon. Dissolve in water before adding. Note: malic acid can be metabolized by malolactic bacteria.
